A quick overview of what this blog is all about.

The Big Ws

Who

First, who am I? Well, I’m Jesper, a designer and coder from Norway. You can find more details about me and my background at my Bio page.

Second, and more importantly, for whom is this blog targeted? Hopefully, if you’re into digital design, information design and/or data visualisation, you’ll find something interesting here.

What

What can you expect from this blog? To be honest, probably not a whole lot of updates. Knowing me, I’ll probably not be able to post here frequently, but rather whenever I have the time and motivation to write about something I want to share.

I reckon the majority of content will be about web-related tech, and more specifically data visualisations. But hopefully I’ll also write about design process

Why

Why am I doing this? First of all, as a designer who codes I feel obliged to have an online portfolio. And the more I was thinking about this, the more inclined I got to include some words along with showcasing my work. The idea of sharing my thoughts online has always felt uncomfortable to me, but I’ve been wanting to give it a go. Maybe I’ll get zero visitors a month, or perhaps I’ll get a handful, either way, I’m doing this primarily for my own sake, to try and be more exposed and to practise writing and publishing on the web.

Where

Well right here at www.jesperkiledal.com will be where you’ll find my content. Maybe one day I’ll also be more active on GitHub and Codepen, but for now, this is the only place I’ll maintain.

How

I’ll write a post about how I built this site in the near future. Stay tuned!

When

I don’t think I’ll be able to have a schedule for updates here, but hopefully an update every month or so.

FAQ
